The Morning
The day starts with our unique advanced skid control course (or it could be performance driving first dependant on structure of the day) where you will not only have fun testing your driving ability but also learn the full range of skills needed to "Survive" on today's roads. It has been developed from our experience in providing skid control training for US State department body guards and Military Special Forces and also winter driving courses on ice lakes in Sweden.
The Afternoon
After lunch - which is available at our on site cafe, you will then move on to our race circuit for the advanced performance driving course. This advanced driving experience offers a unique opportunity to learn the skills and techniques used by race driving champions, having learnt the skills of skid control in the morning you can now move on to learn; racing lines, effective braking technique, hand eye coordination, corner turn-in technique and much more!
The Instructor
Your instructor will be a national championship winning race or rally driver. who will also have experience in teaching skid control to rally competitors on ice lakes in Sweden.
The Equipment
Our skid car is unique we don't use an adapted skid car, instead we fit lower grip tyres to a normal family hatchback. This means that our car will handle in the same way that a normal vehicle does allowing the participants to develop skills that can be applied directly to their own vehicles! We also wet one of the bends to create a change of grip/surface to emulate real road conditions.
For the performance driving you will be driving one of our school cars (Ford Focus Zetec). These cars are well balanced and easy to drive allowing you to soon get up to speed! All the performance driving sessions are around our 1.6 mile circuit which has a mixture of high speed curves and tight hairpins.

Car Control Dynamics Briefing - First there's a briefing from your instructor explaining exactly what happens when a car skids, and tips are given on how to avoid a dangerous skid situation on the road. He'll also explain how top class rally drivers avoid crashing in horrendous conditions. Most of today's cars now come with electronic driver aids like ABS and ESP, but what do they do? Your instructor will also explain how this equipment works and what it can do for you! You are then split into groups and introduced to your track instructor (maximum group size 4 people).
- Demonstration
- Your instructor will demonstrate the driving techniques needed for each activity before you are put in the hot seat!
