Would you like to 'learn how to drift' by holding a car sideways in a Power Slide?

Drifting is one of the fastest growing and most exciting motor sports in the world. It was originally developed by the Japanese and has recently débuted in the USA to sell out crowds. The main attraction is it's great to watch and incredibly exciting to participate in.

Learn How to Drift

We are now offering you an opportunity to sample the exciting sport of drifting at our York Venue.
You will drive a rear wheel drive car and learn how to drift it sideways in a power slide around a marked out course. The drifting skills learnt will improve your car control ability and make you safer in slippery conditions on the road.

Drifting Experience Instructor

Your instructor will be a professional motorsport instructor who is also an accomplished Race or Rally Driver.

Drift Car

On the course you will drive one of our school BMWs which will be either a Compact or a New 1 series.

The Drift Track

The course takes place on a marked out track using traffic cones comprising of a long corner which is constantly sprayed with water. The skill is to drift the car through the bend as elegantly as possible without spinning around!

Course Format

First there is a briefing from your instructor in basic car control and vehicle dynamics to give you an idea of what you're aiming for!

Drifting Experience 1- Instructor Demonstration

Your instructor will demonstrate the correct technique needed along with a few common mistakes.

Drifting Experience 2

Your chance to try your skills.  Your instructor will be alongside helping you get the hang of it.

Drifting Experience 3

Your confidence will be better on this session and there should be less spins!

Drifting Experience 4

This session is where you should be getting it together and the instructor will also give you a score for Drifting Elegance (Hopefully!)
