Hello to the driverskills team,
I just wanted to say a huge thanks to Lionel and the guys with the group on Friday 3rd July. It was a great day, something I'd love to do again (and I will if my finances work out!). I wanted to pass on to let you know that I had driven up from London the evening before and stayed in a locally recommended hotel, and after the skid pan and performance sessions I drove a further 269 miles to Scotland. At the last roundabout (after many motorway miles) as I finally got into my home town the front end of the car broke loose and I ended up in a skid. With the skills and understanding from the skid pan session I knew what my car was doing and thankfully I was able to control the car completely and the skid was made into a controlled manoeuvre as opposed to a fatal accident. The car is fine, I am fine, everything is fine. It could have been so very different.
Many many thanks for everything, and if I can get a group session organised my team of Special Constables will be along to benefit from your driving knowledge!!

Dear Lionel,
What a great team building day we had last Wednesday. The morning lecture was educational and informative - Some useful pointers for us each to take back to consider.
The afternoon driver training session was very much enjoyed by all. From a personal point of view I was pleased the whole team was able to take part, this I feel helped with our team building, and some personal networking. It was great to see everyone actively taking part and rising to the challenges you and your colleagues set us as individuals. In many cases pushing ourselves to the limits, in an area we are not usually faced with. The catering was fantastic, everyone looked after us very well.
I am sure we will be talking about the day, and laughing at the photos (!),
for months to come.

Just a note to say that I had a great day on Friday-aside from being lucky with the weather,Tim Evans the instructor on my course was excellent, he gave constructive advice and I really felt that I had learned some skills as well as having a day to remember.Please pass my thanks to Tim

I would like to say a big thank you to Lionel and the other instructors for a fantastic experience. One attendee got to put her new ABS skills into practice the very next day when on her way to an appointment at a school in Harrogate a car pulled out in front of her and the training she received kicked in and she steered around the car. This is the person who did NOT want to come, she says a big thank you personally.

We have recently commissioned Driver Skills Limited to deliver driving skills training and awareness to a core group of staff that undertake significant driving as part of their role.
They have always been extremely professional and communication regarding our organisations needs have been dealt with promptly and efficiently. They have directly liaised with the individuals and ensured that the appropriate arrangements have been made to suit the individual's needs.

On 13 December 2008 you held a winter driving and skid control course at Elvington for the Emergency Planning Department at North Yorkshire County Council.

We held a team building event at Driver Skills and had a great day, learning some very useful skills on the way. Lionel pulled the event together very well and the two drivers who provided the individual training were great teachers - highly skilled and very patient. Everyone came away buzzing about how much they enjoyed it. The location is also excellent and it was good to have lunch in the facilities of the adjacent air museum and take the opportunity to look at the old planes too.
