A group of employees from the Highways Agency Leeds office booked a full day course with DriverSkills. The Highways Agency are responsible for maintaining and managing our strategic road network. They are also responsible for, amongst many other things, managing traffic, tackling congestion and providing information to road users to make our journeys safer.
The team were keen to not only improve their driving skills and knowledge but also understand and assess the handling of cars in extreme conditions and assess the benefits of vehicle active safety devices such as ABS.
On the day they experienced skid pan training, using ABS in an emergency and a detailed course in high speed vehicle control skills. Comments from the team at the end of the day were very positive, as they found the experience both enjoyable and informative.
