By purchasing any of our courses or gift vouchers online, by phone or through one of our resellers, you agree to our terms and conditions as set out below. Driver Skills Limited are committed to ensuring that all its customers enjoy driving experiences of the highest quality which are safe, exciting and value for money. We know how much our customers look forward to their driving experiences and our terms of business have been carefully written to ensure that there are no misunderstandings that could detract from your enjoyment. Gift VouchersAll vouchers are valid for twelve months from the date of purchase and are none refundable. Once the voucher has been redeemed it is then no longer valid and the cancellation policy then applies. Vouchers may be exchanged (while valid) for an alternative Driver Skills course. The validity of a voucher (the booked date of the course) cannot be extended beyond twelve months from the date of purchase. Please be aware that due to popular demand, courses will need to be scheduled two to three months in advance to avoid disappointment. Our on track courses run from March through until November each year. Once your voucher has been redeemed against an event, that event date becomes it's expiry date. You will have 3 months in which to rebook and take your experience in the event of a date change (subject to an admin fee), (see Cancellation Cover for specific and further information regarding date changes/cancellations within 7 days of your booked event). Driver Skills Limited is not responsible for any unauthorised use of your Gift Voucher. Your Gift Voucher cannot be refunded once purchased. Your Gift voucher is not a credit, debit or cheque guarantee card. Your Gift Voucher cannot be exchanged for cash. VenuesDriver Skills Limited operates on week days at Elvington Airfield in North Yorkshire for all Track Based Courses. On Road Advanced Driving Courses can be delivered in most UK areas 6 days a week. DescriptionsThe information on each Driver Skills Limited course detailed in our brochures, vouchers or on our website is correct at the time of print. However, the content or format of a course may change without notification. Driving TimeAll driving times stated on our website are approximate. DriverSkills is however dedicated to providing the best value driving courses available and will endeavour to whenever possible provide more driving time than is stated. Refunds and CancellationsDriver Skills Limited are happy to make refunds on unbooked experiences, bought direct from Driver Skills Limited within 7 days of purchase, minus a 10% administration charge (being a minimum charge of £25 and a maximum charge of £50). After 7 days no refund will be available. An alternative named driver can be submitted, but a £25 administration charge (per person and per booking) will be applicable and the same time scale applies as re-booking time scales. One free administration change for the date of the course can be made outside 30 days of the event. A minimum admin fee of £25 is applicable per person for a change of date inside 30 days of the event. We do not charge any administration fees for amending the name of the driver or the type of car you use, unless an alternative course is chosen which is of higher value. If the course is amended for one of lower value, please note the difference cannot be refunded. If your booking is left open following a change, the experience must be rebooked and taken within 3 months of the original event date, however cannot be booked outside of the expiry date. Driver Skills Limited does not accept cancellations/re-bookings inside 7 days of the event if your event has been booked (unless covered under separate cancellation cover). Refunds are always made to the person who purchased the experience, and if originally purchased by credit card, the refund will be credited to the same card. If the card has expired you will need to request a refund in writing, quoting details of a new credit card. If you have a date specific or booked voucher then no refund or cancellation or other changes may be made. Changes to Your BookingOutside of 30 days of your event, one free amendment to your booking can be made. Within 30 days of your event date an administration fee of £25 is payable to any changes made. Within 7 days of your event no changes or cancellations can be made, unless cancellation insurance has been purchased prior to the 30 day cut off period. Cancellation Cover (Must be paid for separately)This can be purchased online or requested from our Customer Care Team on 01904 400194 before booking any on-track activity at a cost of £10 and is valid for use one time only. If you have purchased this from Driver Skills Limited we will rebook an activity, within the vouchers validity period, if the customer should cancel an already booked activity session as a direct consequence of one or more of the circumstances set out below:
Relevant official recovery documentation must be provided for the above in the event of cancellation. Once purchased this policy is non refundable and does not fall within the 7 day conditions. This covers the participant taking part in the event and not the gift voucher. Arrival Time:To ensure our days run smoothly, timing is crucial. Therefore all drivers must ensure they arrive no later than fifteen minutes before the start time stated on the booking confirmation email or letter. The decision of whether a driver is late is up to the Duty Instructor, and the Duty Instructors decision will be final. ComplaintsIf you have a problem or complaint on the day, please bring it to the attention of the host or event manager/organiser at the venue as soon as possible so they have a chance to put matters right. In general, we consider it unreasonable if you take no action during an event, but then write a letter of complaint at a later date. It is difficult to put your issue right if you have already left the venue. Our corporate policy is to ensure all staff of Driver Skills Ltd ensure that we have happy customers. Refunds cannot be issued after your event. If you have a situation with regards to any other matters, you can send a letter to our customer services department at the address below; our policy is to reply within 30 days. Adverse weather conditions & mechanical breakdown & cancellation of your booked eventFrom time to time some of our courses/experiences may have to be cancelled or suspended due to adverse weather conditions, reasons beyond our control or very occasionally mechanical breakdowns. Where this is a possibility, for example in the case of certain driving experiences every effort will then be made to contact you and or offer an alternative on the day or re-book the experience at the next available date and venue. Driver Skills Limited will not be responsible for any accommodation, travel or incidental expenses incurred by customers and every effort will be made on the day for your event to continue, even if the time scale is over and above expected booked time or we will offer you an alternative. Once you have booked your experience you are bound by the relevant suppliers terms and conditions and these will be implemented and adhered to at all times. Restrictions: -Certain experiences are subject to minimum or maximum requirements, e.g. age, health or weight. We will confirm with you at the time of booking if any restrictions apply to the participant. Once booked, you may be liable for charges if you have to cancel because the minimum requirements are not met. Full details are included with your gift voucher, and we ask you to read this carefully as soon as you receive it. (No Pets allowed) Children under 12 must always be accompanied by an adult. We hold a no smoking rule whilst in vehicles or in any building on a Driver Skills Limited event. Alcohol is strictly forbidden from all our events. Anyone who is considered to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be excluded from all activities and entitled to no refund or rebook. All clients participating in motoring activities must hold a valid UK/International driving License unless specifically stated otherwise in the brochure, for example in the case of the junior driving. If you have any medical condition or disability which may affect your ability to undertake the experience this must be disclosed when booking. If you are in any doubt then please consult your doctor. To ensure the validity of any insurance cover we may in some instances ask clients over a certain age to produce a medical certificate. Due to health and safety restrictions on all supercar driving experiences, Driver Skills Limited operates a strict no spin rule. The format of this is, that if the customer spins the supercar being driven on or off the track due to excessive speed or not adhering to the instructors instructions their session is terminated with no refund. ClothingWe recommend that you come prepared for the extremes of the British climate! Please wear comfortable driving clothing. On cold/wet days you will need warm waterproof clothing, gloves and hats, whilst on summer days the site can become extremely hot and dusty (sun cream). On dry days, wearers of contact lenses may experience some discomfort. It is recommended that soft soled shoes are worn as most supercars have minimal spacing between the operating pedals. Climbing boots are not recommended! Course/Experience DescriptionThe information provided by Driver Skills Limited on each experience is correct at the time of print & website. However, the content or format of experiences may change during the year. Details of each experience are available from our website or our Customer Services Team on 01904 400194 Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm. All of Driver Skills Limited driving events are operated from March-November, you must book your experience in these months but the office is open all year round and you can book in anytime year round. You must take part in your experience within these months and it must be booked and taken before the expiry date of the voucher. We plan arrangements for your Experience many months in advance. Very occasionally changes may be made and we reserve the right to do so. This may involve having to reschedule the timing and/or location of an Experience, possibly at short notice, owing to availability, booking numbers, safety, technical problems or other factors beyond our control. We cannot be held liable for any costs incurred in any of these circumstances. We will try to provide an experience, location or other alternative wherever possible. In the unlikely event that an alternative cannot or is not offered, a full refund will be available at the discretion of Driver Skills Limited. Similarly, we reserve the right to withdraw supply of a gift without notice due to unavailability or discontinuance of a product line. On Road CoursesIf you're purchase is for an on road course, it is the responsibility of the driver to ensure their vehicle is in a roadworthy condition. Should there be any problems with the vehicle on the day of the course, no refund will be available, and the full cost of the course will be charged if the course is to be rescheduled. The same applies should the driver not be able to produce the relevant documentation on the day of the course; this includes both halves of the driving licence, insurance documentation for the vehicle being driven and a valid MOT certificate (if applicable). |
